Personalised Status
Messenger Plus! offers to personalize your status, such as "away" and
"busy".
You can define a message that will be sent to your contacts when they talk to
you, and you can even select what contacts should see the message or not.
You can also define a name tag that will replace what your contacts will see in
their contact list, instead of the usual "away" or "busy".
Your personalized status can be saved into presets, if you want to use them
often. Up to 30 status can be saved into presets.
The Personalized Status window is opened whenever you select "away" as
your status, or it can be opened by going in the main Messenger window, in the
File Menu, in Your Status, by clicking the Personalized Status menu.
Note that you can use Tags and Commands in your message.
The Personalized Status options are found in the Preferences panel, in the
Personalized Status section.
Locking Messenger
By pressing a keyboard shortcut you have chosen yourself or by selecting the
option, Messenger can be locked and minimised, and a password will be asked to
re-open it again.
You can set a status for when you lock your Messenger.
The Locking options are located in the Preferences, in the Privacy section.
Boss Protection
The Boss Protection feature is used to hide Messenger from the people physically
surrounding you, by using a simple key shortcut that will be effective in your
whole system, not just in Messenger.
The Messenger windows will get minimized and the icon in the sys-tray will be
change to another icon, that you can select yourself. Your status will be
changed, and a message can be optionally sent to every opened chat session, as
well as a message when you are back.
The Boss Protection menu is located in the Preferences panel, in the Privacy
Protection section.
Inactivity Status Change
Messenger Plus! can automatically change your status after a period of
inactivity. To enable this function, go in the Preferences panel, in the General
Options section, under Miscellaneous. You can also set to what the status should
be changed, and after how long.
Reset Status Shortcut
This special shortcut allows you to quickly exit special modes such as Boss
Protection, Personalised Status and Messenger Lock. To customize this shortcut,
go in the Preferences panel, in the General Options section, under Miscellaneous
Limitaciones:
Al comenzar la instalación de Messenger Plus! aparece un mensaje alertando
"Contrato del Programa de Publicidad (C2Media)", permitiendo sin
problemas elegir la opción "Rechazo dar mi apoyo, instalar Messenger Plus!
sin el programa de publicidad".
